dispersion (in optical fiber)-based optical fiber interferometric.



Work in three
steps:



Ø Theoretical study:



Knowledge of
optical fiber, interferometric method and concepts of chromatic dispersion in
optical fiber. Notions of polarizer, coupler, group delay and phase of a signal



Ø Simulation and signal processing:

Set of mathematical equations the interferometric
method



·
Matlab programming of these physical phenomena



·
Show by simulation using the software Matlab and
simulink this interferometric method to measure chromatic dispersion in
comparison to more expensive industrial methods.



Ø Practical step:



Tools: Spectrum Analyzer (OSA), optical fiber SMF and DSF,
polarizer, coupler, Optical fiber connectors, Machinery welding optical fiber, Excel,
Matlab, Reference fiber.
